FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT - AMATO COUTURE

Welcome to AMATO. I decided to feature my first two Amato fashion shows together in this blog post to show the diversity that Amato brings to fashion week as a designer. His shows are so captivating that your eyes are peeled back while watching every detail in his collection. The show literally leaves you speechless by the end that you can only say "WOW". Amato does not follow trends. As an artist, his ideas are unconventional and limitless. On the runway he can take you to a dark place in one collection, and a completely cheerful and colourful place for the next. You just never know what to expect when you sit down and wait for his show to start. Either way, there is no question that he can take you just about anywhere creatively speaking- and that's what is so amazing about him as a fashion designer. The theme of his shows are not only well thought out and out-of-the-box, they are done with perfection and effectively bring you into his world.

His couture has evolved from a Dubai label to a global one, working in Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, London, and Miami. Amato's designs have created a huge buzz and have been a favourite, worn by celebrities including Beyonce Knowles, Shakira, Katy Perry, Toni Braxton, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Nicki Minaj, Carrie Underwood, Nicole Scherzinger and the list will forever continue to grow because his work is perfection. His designs shine and sparkle and set a new bench mark for celebrities whether they are on the red carpet or on the stage performing.

Season 5 Fashion Forward Dubai was my first Amato experience. The opening of FW15 is one that still sticks in my mind and one that I will never forget! Although I was far from the runway, my eyes were still as glued as they have been sitting front row. I love to be diverse with my wardrobe as well so I just loved this show for when you feel like pulling off that dark goddess look, this collection would definitely be one to wear and get all inspiration from. You would never think that having a outfit inspired by such darkness would look so good! I was in a trance the entire time and it left me desperately hungry to see his next show.

Walking into the set of his SS16 show, and seeing a green grass catwalk with white puffy clouds floating up above, I instantly thought to myself "how will he possibly make this a dark place?" Lol. As soon as the show started I was shocked, not only to see that as a designer he had taken me to a completely different place, but that he also made me feel the same adrenaline he had made me feel in his last show (only on the other end of the spectrum). It was so colourful and happy! His collection was so free-flowing and fun. I was obsessed with the dresses, the details, the sunnies, the backpacks.. the whole look! Four Amato shows later, and I have realized that I will always be just as hungry to see the next show as I did for my very first time.

Enjoy some of my photos and videos below and let me know what you think! Dark or Light? Can't wait to share with you his last show I attended... I LOVE where he went with it! Stay tuned. ♡
