PEACE IN ABU DHABI

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been to. It is one of the largest mosques in the world, located in Abu Dhabi (the capital of the United Arab Emirates). A feeling of pure calmness comes over your entire body when you are walking through this beautiful mosque. Everywhere you turn is just radiating peaceful energy. What is so mesmerizing is that every inch of the premises has been designed so that it is picture perfect, no matter the angle. Any photographer should definitely put this on their bucket list because they would feel in heaven while shooting. One of my favourite things to admire is architecture so I really fell in love with this place.

Despite the fact that this is a religious monument, I have kept this post strictly about the physical beauty in it. Although I will share something with you, and you can be the judge. Interestingly, I stumbled across a photo of this mosque 4 years ago on the internet and felt the need to post it on Instagram (the last photo below is a screenshot). I thought to myself "I would love to see this one day, wherever it is.." (I had no idea). I only recalled my older post while I was admiring the mosque in person. I was surprised that I had found myself living in the exact city it exists around 4 months later! On top of it, when I moved to Abu Dhabi I originally stayed in a hotel and the view from my balcony was this mosque lighting up the sky! Coincidence? At the very least, I think it only fair to say that our thoughts become reality. Although I live in Dubai now, I will always have a soft spot for Abu Dhabi.

Until you visit one day.. I hope you enjoy these photos and short video. ♡

(Apologies for the quality, I had an iPhone 4s at the time but I wanted to share this experience, also I left them unedited for you to get a realistic view. I will definitely take a drive to Abu Dhabi to see it again soon and capture better photos!)
